Network Security has received tremendous interests worldwide along with the propagation of e-commerce. PKI has been invented to enable users of public networks to securely and privately exchange data and make transactions using digital certificates signed by a trusted authority. PKI/E-AUTHENTICAITON has become an essential element for expanding global e-commerce market and e-government services.

To advance PKI/e-Authentication awareness and strengthen PKI/e-Authentication capability worldwide, Taiwan International PKI Training Center was formed on 2005. It held two successful international PKI training programs on 2006, which attracted more than 180 worldwide applicants and 39 outstanding applicants joining the training and sharing the PKI developing experience of their economies.

To enlarge the scope and benefit more economies to participate the training program, Chinese Taipei proposed the “ APEC TEL PKI/e-Authentication Training Program “project to APEC TEL, and it had been approved by APEC TEL 34 on 2006. APEC TEL PKI/e- Authentication Training Center , therefore, has been formed to promote PKI/e-Authentication technology and offer training to worldwide elites. It also acts as the linkage platform for exchanging PKI/e-Authentication experiences worldwide. Via the training program, we expect more valuable experiences can be shared and ultimately to build a long-run foundation of nurturing PKI/e-Authentication implementers.
