2007 APEC TEL PKI / e-Authentication Training Program

        Network Security has received tremendous interests worldwide along with the propagation of e-commerce. Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)/e-Authentication has been invented to enable users of public networks to securely and privately exchange data and make transactions using digital certificates signed by a trusted authority. Due to its great functionality, the PKI/e-Authentication has become an essential element for expanding global e-commerce market and e-government services.
    “2007 APEC TEL PKI/e-Authentication Training Program” has been formed to promote PKI/e-Authentication technology and offer training to worldwide elites. On September of 2007, a series of seven-day lectures given by experts in the PKI/e-Authentication area, supported by government funding, will be held to nurture international PKI/e-Authentication specialists. During this upcoming training period, planned courses under the PKI/e-Authentication theme include Technology and Application Trend, Policy/Law and Regulation, CA Operation Practice, PKI Application System Implementation Practice, Cross-border PKI Practice, E-government PKI Application, etc. The training course also including visit to local sectors such as CAs (Certificate Authorities), e-government applications, R&D organization, etc...., and resenting institutes will draw a conclusion to this significant event.

 Application Requirements:

1.    Bachelor’s Degree and above; Information and PKI/e-Authentication technology related background is a plus

2.    Current professional / engineer / manager

3.    Responsible for IT or PKI/e-Authentication related operation, management or promotion in private sectors, research institutes, or government agencies

4.    Good English reading, writing, and communication skills

5.     For non-Chinese Taipei residents only

Free Registration and Other Offerings:

l        Round-trip economic airfare, food and accommodations during the program period (September 27 to October 4, 2007) will be covered by the host.

l        Depend on the regulation of the hotel, your room won't be ready till check-in time, 3 pm, on Sep. 27 and your room won’t be available after the check-out time, 12 pm, on Oct. 5.

l        If you need to check in before 3 pm on Sep. 27 or to check out after 12 pm on Oct. 5 due to some reason such as flight time, please let us know in advance so that we can reserve a room for you. In this case, the extraneous expenses are not covered.

l        The hotel offers the luggage storage services.
