Network Security has received tremendous interests worldwide along with the propagation of e-commerce. Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) has been invented to enable users of public networks to securely and privately exchange data and make transactions using digital certificates signed by a trusted authority. Due to its great functionality, the PKI has become an essential element for expanding global e-commerce market and e-government services.
Taiwan¡¦s ¡§International PKI Training Center¡¨ has been formed to promote PKI technology and offer training to worldwide countries. On February of 2006, a series of five-day lectures given by experts in the PKI area, supported by government funding, will be held to nurture international PKI specialists. During this upcoming training period, planned courses under the PKI theme include Technology and Application Trend, Policy/Law and Regulation, CA Operation Practice, PKI Application System Implementation Practice, Cross-border PKI Practice, E-government PKI Application, etc. A half-day visit to local sectors such as CAs (Certificate Authorities) and representing institutes will draw a conclusion to this significant event.
